Mycelium Objects

I'm intrigued by the dynamics that arise from the collaboration between human and fungus—an interplay between the aesthetic mastery over forms and their organic unpredictability.

Fungi, with their adeptness at thriving in the dark and colonizing diverse materials, offer a unique lens to imagine a world where they're the ultimate survivors. This body of work  explores the way in which fungal objects can be used as a stand-in for what is unfamiliar, apocalyptic, and overlooked; extending an invitation to shift away from our human-centered view.

The pieces are intentionally modest, standing in stark contrast to monumental, grotesque, and imposing tendencies. They embody a simple yet resolute way of being, evoking cosmic landscapes that transport us to dimensions both vast and boundless, and minuscule and infinitesimal.
